policy more in line with U.S. national interests. 

He promoted the controversial book of Professors

John J. Mearsheimer and Stephen Walt; he was

instrumental in clinching the oil contracts

between China and Iran; he arranged to have

President Ahmadinejad invited to Columbia

University and, more recently, he voiced support

for <a

href='http://www.voltairenet.org/article158877.html'

class='spip_out'>Richard Falk</a>, the UN Special

Envoy to the Occupied Territories.  To torpedo

him, the Israel Lobby mounted a smear campaign

accusing Freeman of serving the interests of China

and Saudi Arabia, which he could hardly deny

without having to reveal his covert assignment

with the intelligence services.  However, the

blatant efforts of the Lobby to undermine one of

the most eminent members of U.S. intelligence have

ultimately backfired against it.</p></span>

to issue an arrest warrant for Sudanese President

Bashir on charges of war crimes and crimes against

humanity is a welcome development, it is hardly

the only situation where it should be applied. 

Some see it as a double standard promoted by the

ICC in the choice of its targets for prosecution. 

There is already enough documented evidence to

make the case that George Bush and his underlings

have committed similar crimes which, according to

Prof. Anthony J. Hall, are unequivocally linked to

the cover-up of the 9/11 events.  On March 17,

2009 George Bush will cross an international

boundary as a private citizen for the first time
